International Trainee and Apprentice Program (ITAP)

The Atlantic City Ballet's International Trainee and Apprentice Program (ITAP) is the perfect program for dancers who seek a professional career in dance. The ITAP Students have the opportunity to dance with the Atlantic City Ballet.

This tuition based program provides the experience necessary to ease the transition from student to professional dancer, all while offering personal attention in a small, nurturing environment.

Limited to only 20 students, ITAP is the training ground for future AC Ballet company members.

Trainees will also have the opportunity to perform in AC Ballet's  programs and will be part of Atlantic City Ballet's Corps de ballet.

The program is for 11 weeks. The program starts January 13, 2025 to March 29, 2025.

Trainees will perform in Carmina Burana March 28 at Rowan University PAC and March 29 at Stockton University PAC. This performance is in collaboration with the Greater South Jersey Chorus and the Ocean City Pops. 

Also, at the end of the ITAP program, Trainees will have the chance to to be chosen for the company for season 2024-2025 season.

Interested dancers may audition at one of our open auditions or via video.  Those dancers auditioning via video must include a $40 registration fee.

Please include performance experience, training, current ballet company/studio name, height, citizenship and all contact information as well as your headshot and 2-3 dance photos in your CV A single video file, no more than 15 minutes, containing all the elements below to be uploaded to a video sharing site such as YouTube, Vimeo etc. with dancer’s name in the video title. 

•Barre Tendus, Adagio, Grand battements 

•Center (pointe shoes for ladies) Adagio, Pirouette, Grand Allegro (including tour for men) and Fouetté for ladies/A la seconde turn for men •Partnering (if possible)
